The class cost covers only the room and teacher, however not the materials which are built into the cost of the piece.
Pottery painting Description:
Unwind and get creative with our relaxed ceramic painting class in the heart of Brisbane City! Whether you’re after a fun night out with friends or a peaceful solo activity, this class is the perfect way to express your inner artist. Surrounded by the colour and charm of our welcoming studio, you’ll paint pre-made ceramic pieces using ceramic glazes. Bring your own favourite drink to sip as you paint the night away—it’s a fun, boozy twist on traditional pottery!

Already made something at one of our Clay & Sip or wheel sessions? You can return to glaze it!
The first firing is done after your clay and sip session. During this painting session, we’ll apply a clear glaze after your work is painted and ready it for a second firing. Glazing + second firing for handmade pieces is $15 per item. Firing takes 1–2 weeks, and then your beautiful piece is ready to take home!

Note: Your asked to click the box on check out that you understand there is additional cost to the class cost for the ceramic pieces to purchase and paint that includes the glaze firing. We use a special clay for our kiln firing temperatures for the glaze, so you can not bring your own biskware pieces to paint. The pieces to paint also includes the under glaze paint and glaze depending on the size of the piece to paint.
Pre Glaze Painting Class Description:
Join us for an enriching ceramic painting class in Brisbane! Discover the joy of working with ceramic paint as you decorate your own dinnerware, vases, and pots.
In this workshop, you will learn how to paint with glaze paint and create your own design. This is a self-creative session where you can paint what you want (therefore limited guidance).
Don’t worry if you’re a beginner, our relaxed and supportive environment is perfect for all skill levels. You’ll be amazed at how quickly you pick up the techniques and find yourself immersed in the creative process. Get ready to unleash your inner artist!
At the end of the workshop, you’ll have your own glazed ceramic pieces to take home and proudly display.
<b>How this class is different to the pottery painting session we also offer?</b>
In this class, we are painting on already gloss glazed ceramic pieces that do not need to go through the kiln again.
We are using a special over glaze gloss enamel ceramic paint that is food safe. You can take the items home on the day, and then to set the paint, it needs to go into the oven for half an hour which hardens the gloss paint to a strong no scratch surface. This is non-toxic and can still be dishwasher safe using this superior brand paint. We will give you the run-through on the day.
This a fun class to see exactly what you will have at the end of the session, compared to the pottery painting class that uses under glaze, which does change colour and effect after the glaze kiln firing.
<b>Note:</b> Ceramic pieces for separate sale on the day priced accordingly to your piece selected based on the surface area of paint required. Pieces range from $15 to $34 depending on what you select on the day. Note you can not bring your own pieces of ceramics, if you do request this, the cost is still the same as above pieces of similar size. As outlined the main cost is the special paint which is charged out on surface area of each piece size.
